Facewatch launches in Walsall

In Walsall the police and council have secured funding to help 46 businesses benefit from a crime reporting tool that will allow them to upload images of suspected shoplifters to an app that can be seen by shoppers, other businesses and the police.The hope is that the use of ‘ Facewatch ’ will not only help to bring offenders to justice, but remove the opportunity for shoppers to have their retail therapy ruined by callous pickpockets or purse dippers.
