Elderly man injured during West Bromwich car theft

Detectives are searching for a man who left a 78-year-old with serious head injuries after stealing his car from a West Bromwich car park last night (10 May).The pensioner was moving his car into the gated drive, on Chapel Street, at around 9.20pm on Sunday when a man, who is believed to have been lying in wait, jumped into the car as the victim opened a gate, and drove off.
