Christmas Day attackers handed long jail terms

Three friends who launched a vicious attack on a man outside his Birmingham home on Christmas Day – clubbing him with baseball bats and machetes – have been jailed for a total of almost 40 years.Israr Mahmood, Qamran Iqbal and Omar Younis left the 30-year-old with a serious head injury and a bleed on the brain after attacking him in Washwood Heath at around 11pm on 25 December 2013.
