CCTV appeal leads to arrest over attempted rape in Birmingham

Police investigating an attempted rape at a Birmingham city centre hotel have today (21 April) arrested a 21-year-old man in connection with the offence.He was detained at around 4pm this afternoon following information received as a result of a CCTV appeal which was issued by detectives yesterday afternoon.The attack happened in the early hours of Sunday 17 April at around 1.30am, after the woman returned to her hotel room following a night out with friends.Officers would like to thank those wh
