Candid Darren recognised for mental health work

A man whose mental illness saw his neighbours turn against him, forcing him out of the area has been recognised for his courage and determination to change attitudes.For years Darren Mahon, 40, was verbally abused, threatened and even had the locks on his house glued when his neighbours discovered that he had paranoid schizophrenia.
