Birmingham arrested in counter-terror investigation

A Birmingham man has been arrested under section 41 of the Terrorism Act concerning the commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism. The 27-year-old was arrested this afternoon (Sunday 9 August) following the discovery of suspicious items at his home on Naseby Road in Alum Rock. There was no immediate risk to the public.
