Arrest tally tops 1,000

Over 1,000 criminals have been arrested over the last 12 months by just one crime fighting team in east Birmingham.    The Local Priority Team (LPT) - based at Balsall Heath police station – is made up of 20 police officers and provide support to neighbourhood policing teams by focusing on the crimes which affect local communities.   The team acts on information received from residents and use a number of tactics to fight crime including early morning warrants and surveillan
