Council offers congratulations and advice to GCSE students

Shropshire Council has congratulated pupils receiving their GCSE results today (Thursday, 20 August 2026).
Andy Hall, Cabinet member for children and education, said:
“I would like to offer my sincere congratulations to all Year 11 students across Shropshire receiving their GCSE results today.
“This is a significant life milestone and reflects the hard work, determination and commitment that you have shown throughout your studies. Whether you have achieved the grades you were hoping
