The SNP's no compulsory redundancy policy doesn't mean no compulsory redundancies

Ivan McKee's Holyrood committee remarks prompted a press office complaint — but with a £4.7bn deficit, a missed workforce target and the IFS urging ministers to consider compulsory job cuts, the SNP's long-standing pledge deserves far more scrutiny.
