Thousands of people look set to be disappointed this weekend following news that Ilkeston Carnivalhas been cancelled. A waterlogged pitch at the town's Rutland Recreation Ground has meant organisers, Ilkeston Lions Club, have had to pull the plug on the festival, which usually attracts between 2,000 and 3,000 people.
