Retired lorry driver Brian Davies has come face-to-face with the hero paramedics who ensured he was able to see his 70th birthday after he suffered a stroke. Brian, who marks his milestone birthday today, was at home in Long Eaton washing up on January 8 when he took ill. He was struggling to speak properly and Jane, Brian's wife of 47 years, suspected he was suffering a stroke and called 999 for help.
