Firefighters have spent more than four hours at a scrapyard following a fire which closed a main road.The blaze, at a site of the A612 Daleside Road, has closed the road near Racecourse Road for most of Friday afternoon.Two crews from Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service rushed to the scene at around 1.45pm.Read more: Man attacked nine people and two police officers on rampage through HeanorAt around 6pm, the fire was out but fire officers were still in attendance to carry out investigations.
