Six care home residents were evacuated after a fire broke out in a roof space.Three fire crews were called to the Coppice and Oaks Care Home, in Shipley Common Lane, Ilkeston.They spent two hours tackling the flames and residents from the Coppice bungalow facility had to be evacuated to the Oaks complex nearby.Firefighters from Ilkeston and Heanor, along with an aerial ladder platform from Derby's Ascot Drive fire station, attended the scene just after 3.30pm on Friday.Police attended to...
