A man had to be treated for smoke inhalation after a fire broke out at his home in the early hours of Boxing Day.Firefighters from Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire spent more than two hours tackling the blaze at a property in Central Avenue, Chilwell at around 12.40am after a fire started in a bedroom.Paramedics from East Midlands Ambulance Service (EMAS) attended and treated the male occupant for smoke inhalation, but he did not require hospital treatment, according to the fire service.Read more:
