TracyWalker published Eight-and-a-half hours to tackle straw fire

Firefighters spent more than eight-and-a-half hours tackling a straw fire. Crews were called to a field off the B6079 at Osberton, near Worksop at around 9.30pm on Monday. The fire involved 100 tonnes of baled straw, 300 tonnes of animal feed and a large pile of tyres. Four fire engines, from Worksop, Ashfield and Retford rushed to the scene.
