Plans to illuminate a historic church in the centre of Beeston could leave it looking like "Disneyland", says a concerned councillor.A planning application has been submitted for St John the Baptist Parish Church in Middle Street to be fitted with coloured lights, which will change in sequence, to enhance the features on the grade-II listed building.The idea is that it will highlight the church and make it look more attractive as it is in a prominent location and will be seen by users.
