Residents in parts of Nottingham have been left without power. People and business in the Sherwood and Carrington area were experiencing a blackout just after 5pm on Thursday. Energy provider Western Power Distribution said it expected power to be restored by 8pm. The company tweeted: "We are aware of a powercut in the Nottingham NG3 and surrounding area.
