A car fire led to the A52 being closed on Wednesday afternoon. The westbound carriageway of the road, near Wheatcroft Island at Edwalton, was closed for just over half an hour. Two fire crews, from West Bridgford and Highfield stations, rushed to the scene after the fire broke out just before 3pm.
