Notts-born actress Vicky McClure joined 3,000 walkers on Saturday in the fight against dementia.The BAFTA award-winning star, who is from Wollaton and now lives in Toton, cut the ribbon to start the Alzheimer's Society's Nottingham Memory Walk, at Wollaton Park.The walk was the biggest yet for the charity in the city with a thousand more walkers taking part than during last year's event – despite heavy rain.
