Work is taking place overnight to end rail disruption caused by broken signalling equipment.Passengers were delayed on services leaving on Tuesday after equipment was damaged at Luton. A cable had come into contact with overhead lines causing a power surge and extensive damage to the signalling equipment which controls trains.The majority of East Midlands Trains are now operating although there are still some disruptions for Thameslink passengers.
