TomNorton published Verdict on HMP Nottingham inmate death due later this week
Jurors will begin their deliberation on Friday over why a man died while in custody in HMP Nottingham. Shalane Blackwood was found collapsed in his cell in August last year – and a postmortem examination found he had internal bleeding from a stomach ulcer. He had been recalled to jail over an alleged affray after being released on licence from a sentence for a firearms offence committed in Derby in 2012.
