Shoppers were evacuated from the city centre after a report of a suspicious package in New Look, Lister Gate.New Look, H&M and River Island were cleared out while police investigated, following a 999 call on Monday, December 27 at around 3.35pm. A cordon was also put in place at the Castle Gate junction with Lister Gate.The reported item turned out to be a non-suspicious suitcase.
