Firefighters were sent out to save a dog that had become marooned on a boat.Crews from Carlton, Highfields and Newark attended the scene at Hoveringham Lock at around 5.50pm. The boat had been stranded in the water and got stuck on a sandbank. The boat and the "large dog" were rescued and returned to the original mooring using a powered boat.The emergency services left the scene at around 7.15pm.
