Firefighters cordoned off a street in Basford after a blaze broke out at a former lace factory building this morning.Four crews attended the scene at the old Guy Birkin Factory Beech Avenue after receiving a call at around 7.15am. The fire occurred at a building on the eastern side of the site. The street was closed off at the junctions of High Church Street and Mount Street.
