A Nottinghamshire detention officer has been convicted of common assault.Adrian Evans, 41, appeared at Nottingham Crown Court following the incident on June 30. The court heard Evans had used an unnecessary amount of forced while restraining a prisoner. He was found guilty on Wednesday following a two day trial and will be sentenced on October 16. Nottinghamshire Police is set to proceed with its next stage of internal discipline proceedings.
