A Nottinghamshire dad has thanked the thousands of people who signed his petition, to be heard in Parliament this week, calling to change rules on term-time holiday. Father-of-three Dave Hedley, 33, of Stapleford, published a petition online after he was fined £240 for taking his kids out of school during term-time.
