Nottingham's hospitals deficit soared to more than £47 million in the space of one year and there's more costs on the way. In its end-of-year deficit report, Nottingham University Hospitals Trust's deficit went up to £47.2 million, with the main reasons behind costs including agency staff and penalties for A&E performance.
