Work to demolish Beechdale Swimming Centre has officially begun - 18 months after the site closed. The popular swimming baths closed in August, 2015, after Nottingham City Council opened the £16 million Harvey Hadden Sports Village less than two miles down the road, which has its own swimming facilities.
