A shopkeeper was told his illicit cigarettes could have caused house fires because they burn to a stub. The warning came from Nottingham magistrates who imposed an £825 fine and £843 costs on Ali Rasooli after a raid on the Persian Minimarket in Radford last year. Trading standards officers found around 20,000 cigarettes which were missing an ingredient which makes them go out when not being smoked.
