PMBlackburn published St Ann's apples being used to make brewery's first-ever cider

Apples grown in St Ann's are being used to make a popular city brewery's first ever cider.Castle Rock brewery is running a pilot project to produce around 700 pints of cider – with fruit grown by allotment holders in return for a taste of the new tipple.The first batch will be produced from 450kg of fruit which will be pressed, filtered and left to ferment to create a cloudy drink of up to seven per cent strength.If the experimental brew goes well the new cider could be a regular sight on.
