Intrepid runners raised vital cash to bring a helipad to Nottingham's Queen's Medical Centre by taking part in gruelling races through Sherwood Forest.The first ever Longhorn event - which includes a marathon, a half-marathon and a 10km race, saw hundreds of competitors journey deep into the historic woods after setting out from the beautiful Thoresby Hall.The race is the latest event to support Nottingham Hospitals Charity's Saving Lives Helipad Appeal, which aims to cut down the time it takes.
