The number of hospital beds available for people with learning disabilities and autism in Nottinghamshire are to be reduced by around 60 per cent – as part of national plans to transform the health system. The county has been given £1.21 million by the government to be one of the pilot sites for the project with health bosses claiming the beds will be replaced by "high-quality" community care.
