NottmPostEG published Top 40 success for Nottingham band Amber Run
Nottingham indie band Amber Run have scored their first Top 40 hit in the Official UK Albums Chart.
The quintet, who got together while studying at the University of Nottingham, entered the chart at No. 36 with their debut album, 5am.
They join the likes of Jake Bugg, Lucy Kay and Indiana, who have all had recent success in the chart, although they are the first local band since 2001 to reach the Top 40 with an album. That was Deep Down and Dirty by Stereo MCs, which got to No. 17.
