Former Nottingham Post journalist turned author Mhairi McFarlane has signed a six-figure deal to write three more novels. The 39-year-old, who lives in Sherwood, enjoyed enormous success with her debut You Had Me At Hello in 2012 – selling over half a million copies. She went on to write Here's Looking At You, released in 2013; It's Not Me, It's You, which was published in April; and her fourth book Who's That Girl? – the first set in Nottingham – is out next spring.
