Nottingham Post published Severe traffic delays in and around Nottingham due to M1...

Traffic is building up around Nottingham due to the closure of the M1 southbound carriageway. Commuters are now being diverted off the motorway at Junction 25 and on to the A52 westbound, continuing on to the A5111 southbound at Spondon before taking the A6 southbound and A50 eastbound to re-join the M1 at Junction 24. There is also congestion on the A453 running into Nottingham due to the accident, and delays on the M1 between junctions 28 and 30.
