An application has been submitted to demolish a pub in Carlton Hill to make way for new retail units and homes.Gedling Borough Council's planning committee is expected to grant outline planning permission either three shops or one hot food takeaway and 14 two-bedroom flats to be built on the site of the pub.The Earl of Chesterfield, which has been closed for around 20 months, and is on the corner of Carlton Hill and Southcliffe Road.A report to the committee states that the proposed development.
