NOTTINGHAMSHIRE enjoyed a far more rigorous pre-season work out as they took on Derbyshire at Trent Bridge.
After dominating poor Northamptonshire bowling in their last outing, Notts saw the first day of this match rained off.
However, day two proved a marathon one with Mick Newell's men scoring 270 all out from their 60 overs before Derbyshire made 196 for seven.
