Nottingham Panthers defenceman Sam Oakford has joined English Premier League side Swindon Wildcats on a short-term deal.
Oakford's move to Swindon saw teenage forward Ollie Betteridge spend the weekend with Nottingham.
He has spent most of the season with the Wildcats under his two-way deal.
With both teams struggling with injuries, Oakford says the transfer benefits both clubs.
"Ollie plays for us and does well and we needed forwards and Swindon needed D so it has worked out quite nicely,"
