Nottingham Forest's all-time record goal scorer Grenville Morris, who was born in 1877, played his first match for Forest in 1898.He had a prolific strike rate, scoring almost a goal every other game during 15 years as a Forest player.And no one has yet managed to match the 217 league and cup goals he notched for the club in 457 games between 1898 and 1913.It cost £200 – a considerable sum for those times but not much more than £22,000 today – to sign Morris from Swindon.
