Ilkeston's newest pub, The Burnt Pig Ale 'Ouse, is set for an expansiononly 12 weeks after opening.Landlord Simon Clarke, who also owns the Truly Scrumptious deli on South Street, said the pub had become so busy he has had to turn people away at the door.Mr Clarke has now applied to Erewash Borough Council for permission to let people use space he has at the back of the pub in an unused storage area.If it is granted the pub will be able to cater for 70 customers– an increase of around...
