I was terribly sad this week to learn that my former Nottingham Forest team-mate Stan Bowles has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's at the age of 66.Stan played for us in the 1979/80 season, when we won the European Cup for the second time.We never saw the best of him really and he is best known for his time with QPR, where he's a massive hero still.It was still clear to see what a great player he was in his short time with us.He was an absolute magician with the ball at his feet.
