Nottingham Post published Family fun run has record entry - at 5.30am
A record one thousand runners turned out for the third annual 5.30am race through the streets of Nottingham city centre.The sell-out race - with all this year's runners wearing purple Sunrise City 5km t-shirts - set off from a start (and finish) line on Smithy Row.Marshals held up the traffic as the race snaked its way through the city centre, past Nottingham Castle, along Nottingham Canal and back through the Lace Market, for almost an hour.The event was billed as a non-competitive fun run.
