Nottingham Post published Drink driver has scrapped her car after 'bizarre' crash

A drink driver claimed that she was caught in a scam when a motorist braked sharply in front of her on a city street. Casey Fletcher crashed into the vehicle on Radford Road and was immediately approached by a man wanting to buy her Ford Fiesta, a court heard yesterday.Then police arrived at the scene and she failed a breath test - having had one and a half glasses of wine before deciding to go and visit a friend.The 26-year-old has since scrapped her car following the incident, at about 6.30pm.
