Planning permission for a 50-metre high wind turbine in the Green Belt near Nottingham was rightly granted, a High Court judge has ruled.The turbine on Woodborough Park farm, Woodborough, has been a bitter bone of contention locally for years.Planning consent was initially granted by Gedling Borough Council as long ago as 2011, although that was overturned by the courts.That did not deter the council from again granting permission to farmer, John Charles-Jones, in April this year.Local pressure.
