Nottingham Post published Car fire spreads to two houses

A fire which started in a car has spread to two houses in a Derbyshire street.Firefighters rescued two dogs from one of the properties after being called to Stone Meadows, in Long Eaton, today at about 11.25am.A spokeswoman for Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service said the blaze had now been extinguished but firefighters were still ventilating the homes.It is not thought anyone has been injured. The cause of the fire is not known.
