Nottingham Post published Best Foot Forward: Epperstone Park, Woodborough & Calverton...

This walk connects the villages of Epperstone, Woodborough, Calverton and Oxton through pleasant countryside. There are two ascents, one of 160 ft, but the views across the valleys are worth it. The start point is a parking area just off the A6097 between Lowdham and Oxton (grid reference SK632500, Sat Nav NG14 6AT). It is on a relatively quiet road which is on the right after passing Criftin Farm (going north). Cross the road from the car park (be careful of traffic coming round the bend)...
