A MOTHER-of-four could be alive today had medical staff not missed a 'window of opportunity' to attempt to save her life – according to a top surgeon.Sherida Karidis, of Arnold, died of a sudden haemorrhage at Nottingham City Hospital on January 30.She was 58 and had been battling oesophageal cancer.Mrs Karidis had been referred to hospital by her GP the previous morning after struggling to swallow and coughing up blood on a daily basis.An inquest heard how staff initially gave the patient
