Chris Read believes Nottinghamshire team-mate Alex Hales should be England's next Test opener, but says they must be patient with him if he is to be a long-term option.Hales is set to open the batting in England's first one day international against Australia in Southampton tomorrow.He missed out in the one off Twenty20 game between the teams, scoring three, but hit 189 against Warwickshire in the County Championship before that to take him past 1,000 first-class runs for the season.Adam Lyth's.
