Nottingham Post commented Fare-dodger left with bill of more than £400

A passenger dodged a £6.50 rail fare and ended up with a £416.50 bill two years later. James Gonderton, 28, failed to attend Nottingham Magistrates' Court and was found guilty of travelling from the city to Worksop without a ticket.He was convicted last year but wrote to the court and had the £200 fine set aside. At the time, he was ordered to pay £135 costs, £6.50 compensation to cover the ticket, as well as a £20 government surcharge.Read more: Man jailed...
