Comedian Al Murray's campaign to beat UKIP leader Nigel Farage in the general election suffered a setback after a publicity stunt backfired.

He was hoping to make a parachute jump into South Thanet to make light of the suggestion he was "parachuted" in to the seat.

But unfortunately for the Pub Landlord, his 92kg frame meant he was too heavy for the jump.
